SANTA FE - Inn of the Anasazi, A Rosewood Hotel is again thrilled to announce that it has once again been honored by the New Mexico Lodging Association at their annual meeting and Industry Awards banquet held Monday, May 7 at the Pyramid Hotel in Albuquerque. Founded in 1934, the New Mexico Lodging Association (NMLA) is New Mexico's trade association representing the lodging industry. NMLA represents some 300 individual hotels, motels, resorts and bed & breakfast inns across the state. Headquartered in Santa Fe, NMLA's serves as a direct line for New Mexico properties to the American Hotel & Lodging Association.
Managing Director of the Inn, Marcie Lieberman said, "This win is quite a cause for celebration at the Inn. We are very proud of our employees who garnered awards at Monday's ceremony. These awards are testament to the incredibly hard work our talented staff puts in each and every day."
Awards bestowed upon employees of the Inn include a first place win for the "Sales/Catering Employee of the Year" by Guin White, a Catering Sales Manager. Guin has been employed at the Inn since January, 2006 and in that time has exceeded all budgets set for her department while wowing clients with her exceptionally high level of customer service. A second place win for the Food and Beverage Employee of the Year, Back of the House was awarded to Anasazi ten year veteran Jose Franco, the Inn's Chief Steward. Franco was recognized for his high level of dedication to his profession and for continually making an effort to learn and grow for the betterment of the Inn. Mayra Calles, a Housekeeping Supervisor, won third place for 'Housekeeping Employee of the Year.' Calles has worked at the Inn since 2001 and has continually been promoted on account of her dedication to delivering the highest level of service to guests. An Honorable Mention was awarded to Concierge Patrick Gibson as 'Concierge/Bellman Employee of the Year, Front of House.' Gibson, who recently added the title of Adventure Concierge to his list of responsibilities at the Inn, has been recognized by guests on a regular basis for the outstanding level of service he delivers and for his wealth of knowledge that he so successfully shares with guests. It is for this reason that he was recognized with this award.
